Malls and markets

Malls and markets

Introduction
When people visit other countries, a lot of them like going shopping. Some places where you can buy whatever you want are malls and markets.

1. The Mall of America vs. (versus ['vɜːsəs]) a shopping centre in Russia. (SB p.66)
I’ll tell some words about one of the biggest malls in the USA, the Mall of America, and compare it with my favourite shopping mall in Saint Petersburg, [

Mall of
America
1
Where is it?

2
How many shops are there?

3
What can you find there?

4
Where can you eat?
What do they serve?

(On what floor of the Russian shopping mall
is the food court?
What kind of fast food restaurants are there?)
5
The places where we can have fun.

6
Where would you advise
your friend to go in
the Russian shopping mall?
Why?

2. Marvelous Markets
Markets are nice places which are attractive for both tourists and local people.
     a) A market in London/Thailand/Tokyo
               - The name of the market.
               - Where is it?
               - What does it look like?
               - What can you find there? What can people do there?

b) a Christmas Fair in Saint Petersburg
